Doesn’t the app already track my car? Why do I need my own tracker?
The app tracks trips it dispatched, for its own operations, visible to you only as statements after the fact — and it sees nothing when the car works another app, takes cash pickups, or runs personal errands on your fuel and tyres. Your own tracker reports every kilometre to your own account regardless of what the car was doing, adds the controls an app never gives an owner (immobilisation, geofences, tamper alarms, recovery), and keeps working the day the driver deletes the app. Different data, different owner, different purpose.
Should I tell my driver the car is tracked?
That’s your call, and both approaches work — but most owners find disclosure is the better business decision: a driver who knows the kilometres are recorded drives better, remits more honestly, and treats the vehicle as witnessed, which is most of the value before any alert ever fires. The installation stays concealed either way, so disclosure never means findable. Can the driver find or disable the tracker?
The unit is professionally concealed with wiring dressed into the factory harness, and any interference — power-line cut, device removal, jamming — raises an instant alert to your phone while the internal battery keeps the device transmitting. In practice the tamper alert is itself the early warning that the arrangement is turning: it tends to arrive days before the remittances stop.
