Is the hardware different per industry, or just the software?

Both. Software rules differ per sector, but hardware genuinely varies: a motorcycle needs a compact waterproof unit, a hire car needs concealed installation with an immobilisation relay, an excavator needs a vibration-hardened device with ignition-wired hour metering and a calibrated tank sensor. Can you take over a fleet already fitted with another provider’s trackers?

Yes. A takeover audit tests every existing device, migrates the salvageable ones onto Kendaall’s platform, and replaces only what’s dead — handled by the tracker repair & maintenance team. Most inherited fleets keep the majority of their hardware, which makes switching providers far cheaper than fleets expect.
