How does connectivity work on a Buy & Self-Manage device?
Every tracker needs a data connection to report its location. On Buy & Self-Manage, you can either top up the device’s SIM data credit yourself from time to time, or pay a one-off lifetime connectivity fee of KSh 5,000 per device so you never have to top up again.
Is there a minimum contract length on Kendaall plans?
Buy & Self-Manage hardware is a one-off purchase with no contract at all. Starter and Fleet plans run monthly or annually, with a 15% discount on annual billing. Enterprise plans are structured as annual contracts with multi-year options available. There is no long-term lock-in beyond the billing period selected at signup — monthly subscribers can cancel with 30 days’ notice.
What happens if my fleet grows beyond my plan’s asset limit?
Your Kendaall dashboard tracks your active asset count in real time and prompts an upgrade automatically as you approach your plan ceiling. Upgrades are prorated from the date of the change, with no penalty or re-onboarding for moving between tiers mid-cycle.
Does the managed plan price include the GPS tracking device?
Subscription prices cover platform access, data processing, alerts, and support. Kendaall’s 4G GPS hardware is purchased separately from KSh 3,500 per device installed, or leased monthly through our Hardware-as-a-Service add-on.
